Here we are, election day is near. The most wonderful time of the year where social media Is full of “ I voted” stickers and every other commercial is about how Trump wants to take away your abortions, and how Kamala slept her way to the top. I know what you’re thinking. I’m sick of this. Sick of social media posts, sick of the tik Toks, sick of seeing and hearing nothing but politics. Let’s face it we are all wore down and honestly sick of the mess that is Washington DC.
How did we get here? How did we get yet again a “lesser of two evils” election. Third in a row by my count. Now before the “My candidate is better than the other and you’re dumb if you can’t see that” starts let me lead by saying, You’re wrong. Neither candidate is worthy of being president. I’ll be pointing out the reasons below, don’t worry.
The Case Against Trump

Where do I begin. I’ll start with his mouth. Presidents are supposed to be the leaders of the free world. They’re supposed to be well spoken and have a certain form of charisma about them. At the end of the day politics is politics and they represent America to the rest of the world. Now im not saying this is the only characteristic that’s important but let’s not forget the POTUS calling a citizen a fat pig on social media is not a good look for the country. Now let’s get into the dirt, Trump is a convicted felon. “It was a witch hunt” cool. Still a convicted felon. In the USA if you are a felon, you can’t even vote in 8 states. One of which is Trumps home state of Florida. To be fair though, a majority of politicians are just felons who haven’t been caught and convicted yet. On top of being a felon, there’s Jan 6th . I get that he didn’t
force anyone to go into the Capitol building, I get that he said go peacefully. The problem I have with him isn’t necessarily Jan 6th but the rhetoric surrounding it. He lost the election, was there suspicious things happening? Absolutely, but does that mean it made a difference in the election? No. The temper tantrum that came after losing to Biden was childish at best. It shows the ego maniac he is. This is why I believe that Trump is not worthy of the office of POTUS.
The Case Against Harris

Kamala Harris, the cool hip “Young” choice. The whole identity of her campaign is “I’m not Trump”.
Which as you see above is fantastic but what do you stand for? Reminds me of Aaron Burr in Hamilton. Her accent and cadence switch up depending on who she’s speaking too. Almost like a political chameleon the only thing we know about her is she is not trump. This is the same woman who lacked to get any traction and bailed out before the primaries even started. The woman who has been the vice president for the last 4 years and is now claiming that she’s going to fix things despite saying how wonderful of a job President Biden has done. Also, there’s the covering up for and blatantly lying about the questionable mental status of the sitting president. If she’s willing to cover that up what else will she cover up. Let’s be honest DC is a swamp and someone who’s going to cover things up cannot be acceptable to be the face of the country. Trust is a huge thing even more so in times as embroiled as these when it comes to government trust. Personally, I do not trust her and the whole democracy is at stake pitch when the Presidential nominee didn’t even receive a single vote during a primary. I understand that there was no primary due to Biden dropping out but let’s be honest the timing of it all is suspicious at best even more so when you consider her previous primary showing.
So here it is, the election we have been waiting 4 years for. The choice is yours. In my eyes, neither candidate is deserving of any Americans votes. I believe a vote for either candidate is acceptance or encouraging the parties to keep throwing bad candidates after bad candidates up for election. It’s too late for 2024, but in 2028 when you are casting your primary ballots let’s change things up. Let’s get back to civil discourse, lets get back to nominating people who are of actual quality, lets get back to being America united, not this division riddled mess we call America.

God Bless and may the next four years bring prosperity and a united nation.
